From More than 100 Days on the road in Armidale, Australia on Mar 17 '08
Today we hit the big traffic again. Armidale is quite a big place and has roundabouts and traffic lights. We wont forget what street we are in because it is called Barney Street. Good drive down to Armidale over some range up to 1250 meters high. Bit of a slow grind up one part but going down the ther side was great. The quality of the roads got better as we go closer to Armidale too. We took the Tingha and Guyra road from Inverell and it goes through the Single National Park. Tom Tom did his work very well and told us about a camera on the road ahead. NSW has these cameras in remote places along the road. Anyhow we were only able to do 80kph at that time in a 100 zone. We are booked into the Pembroke Van Park which is sited on 14 Ha. Here for 8 days and that will cover Easter. Helen is happy as there are markets on Sunday. And after a visit to the Information people there is 8 days of activities to see and do. Easter will bring 100 old vintage cars to Armidale Showgrounds. Our neighbour on lot 3 has this old beauty parked in the awning and a very well referbished old International truck.
Vintage cars interest everyone
