Left at 7am this morning and drove through the Lanin National Park to the border, leaving Chile and entering Argentina again. The border post was a log cabin and even had a ping-pong table.  Guess they don´t have a lot of people through this area.  The views were stunning and the area is the Lake District in South America.  We stopped for lunch by one of the lakes and at the end of the day arrived in Patagonia.  Went into the cab for some of the day to get the full appreciation of the area with the mountains and lakes.  Drove through Bariloche to our campsite located 13.5km out of town but around the lakes.  The drive was again stunning and well worth it. Camped by the lake but the campsite was crowded and full of kids.  Had pizza that night in the restaurant, which was lucky as I was on cook duty.

The following morning, got up late, the rain on the tent wasn´t convincing me to move.  After dropping washing off, caught the bus into town with Julie, Sarah and Jessica.  Bariloche is a ski resort in winter and adventure sports area in the summer.  The town has a very swiss feel with fondues (all varieties), tea houses with great cakes, chocolate supermarkets(!!!) and even St Bernard dogs complete with barrells around their necks.  After a stop at a tea house we went shopping.  The town is full of sports shops and we wanted to stock on winter clothes!  After a bit of shopping we headed for a late lunch at La Marmite, where Jessica and I shared a cheese fondue.  Bought some souveniers and visited the chocolate supermarket! Yummy!  Headed back to the campsite, where we were sharing a side of beef and dinner with the other Tucan truck.  After dinner headed to the bar and ended up having a late one with Julie, till about 5am.
