Day Nine: Sun & Return to reality

The sun is finally shining brightly today. I spend the morning at the beach. I kayak up the coast seeing starfish and flying fish. I float outside a church and listen to the Sunday service and hymns for a while before paddling back to Robert’s.
At lunch I ask the gentleman next to me how long he’s been here and he says since the beginning of time. Turns out he’s Robert! He’s originally from NYC.

I get a ride to the little airport in Placencia for my puddle jumper flight to the Belize City International Airport. We make a stop in Dangria to pick up a few more passengers. There I transfer to my American Airlines flight to Dallas and then San Jose. I’m back in my apartment a little after midnight.
