Alblasserdam - Verlek Family Intro

We arrived at Ans and Nes (Dads sister and her husband) and after getting settled in biked (yes I still remembered how thank god!!) to the Kinderdyke where there are about 14 old windmills along the dike, SUCH a great time, the scenery was amazing, baby swans with their moms in the canals, nice weather, and even excersise!!

Dad took me into Rotterdam the next day to see the city, we took the ferry up the river which was great to see all the towns from that perspective, the city was great, surprisingly empty though considering it is high season for tourism!! When we got back to the car dad drove me around to where he used to live and showed me more of the sights, we finished by visiting his cousins in a gorgeous house on the water and it was great getting to hear more dirt on dads childhood~!

My last day was by far the best as Ans and Nes and all 3 of their daughters and their families took us to the beach about an hour away, the kids are GORGEOUS, and it was nice to FINALLY meet my relatives when I wasnt in diapers!! It was sad to go, but Dad took me to the station for my night train to San Sebastion for the running of the bulls!!!
