encountering my fear in gothenburg

i arrived a day after the european athetics championship but the party was still on. there ware concerts and musical performances along the streets and it was very nice to have dinner along the sidewalk and listen to the music.

one of the locals brought me to the liseberg amusement park and we went on balder, the biggest wooden roller coaster in the world. once we got strapped in, the roller-coaster made a long climb followed by a long drop of 70 degrees!!! aren't they supposed to put you thru some gentle ones first to prep you up for some big drop!? can die!! the last time i went on one was 6 years ago at las vegas...on top of new york new york. now i remember why i have avoided roller coasters over the past 6 years.
