Another day in Fremont

I wake up in time for the free breakfast in the hostel.  While I am munching on my eggs, I find one of my friends from yesterday evening and we decide to go to the Fremont district.  I was just there the day before yesterday, but I figure it is as good as any part of Seattle to see again.  I quickly move my things from one hostel room to another and we catch the #26 bus to just after the Fremont Bridge.  We check out the troll, Lenin statue, and the rocket ship, before wandering around the streets and finding a canal park.  We pass by Blue C Sushi on our way to Gas Works Park and vow to return for lunch.  I have been to this area twice before and I proudly lead the way, glad that I have yet another chance to glimpse this incredible view of Seattle.  We wander back to Blue C Sushi and eat sushi over the conveyor belt running through the restaurant.  This restaurant actually has some innovative vegetarian sushi rolls!  Then we wander over to Flying Apron Bakery (the vegan, organic, gluten-free bakery I found the day before yesterday) and we get dessert...I order a slice of chocolate cake with strawberry frosting...soooo good!  We take the bus back to the hostel and I decide to organize the things in my new hostel room.  I spend a few hours reading a book and wandering about the hostel, before making a dinner of Annie's Macaroni and Cheese (apparently, my new addiction).  I find the woman from the Port Townsend hostel (Alice) has checked into the hostel today and I sit and chat with her.  Later I return to my room to play the part of a hermit and continue reading my book.  At 8 pm my room suddenly turns from quiet to loud as my three Korean, and two Aussie roommates return to chat with each other.  Finding myself struggling with this reading environment, I wander into the common room, and Victor (a guest who has been here as long as I have) invites me to play monopoly.  I haven't played in a while, but I am enjoying the game, until it becomes clear that the game will go on through the entire night.  At 2 am, we all call it a tie and end the game.  I barely hit my pillow before I fall into a fast slumber.

Moving through Seattle like a monopoly game. I have fallen into a pattern of taking the same routes repeatedly.
