Stay with our old friends, who are now farming sheep in France
We met June and Julian at Reading University in 1974/5 and we all got married together in 1980 in Henley. That was a day to remember!
Initially we had some sheep work to do. J&J went off to the Pyrenees for the weekend and we feed the sheep and chickens for a few days. The feeding involved driving a quad and towing a feeding implement called a snacker, which deposits small bundles of feed at intervals. We have to drive in a straight line across a field, deposit 75 snacks, then turn around and while the sheep are tucking in we have to count them. Counting sheep is very tiring! What's more we (as in Marian and I) have to agree on the number counted, otherwise we have to turn around and count them again...and again until we do agree.
