Lori and Ian packed up their things, had breakfast and left for Back Bay Station. As neither of them had traveled by train before in the US, they were not sure how early they needed to arrive at the station. They got there an hour and a half before the train. They learned their lesson, as there was nothing to do at the station and absolutely no need to be there that early. Lori took the time to read some more of the sixth Harry Potter book. Lori and Ian were treated to a pleasant surprise when they boarded the train. There were free seats everywhere and there was a lot of legroom. They were glad they decided to take the train, even if it did take long, but with a year of traveling, it was the cheaper option. Ian worked on the photos during the 3 and half hour trip and Lori read her book and napped. They arrive into Penn Station in New York City around 3:30 pm and Gabby picked them up around 5 pm. She took them to eat at Tamarind, an Indian restaurant on the upper East side for dinner. Ian enjoyed Lamb Bhuna, Gabby had chicken kebabs coated in mustard, and Lori ate chicken Mulrab. Gabby gave them some pamphlets on the city and the instructions for Clyde, her cat, when they got home as she was going to Cincinnati for a two and a half day conference and was leaving early the next morning.

They arrive into Penn Station in New York City around 3:30 pm and Gabby picked them up around 5 pm
