We had a blast today at Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio. The weather was beautiful, sunny skies and 80 degrees. The park normally opens at 10 a.m., but since we were staying on site, we were able to get into the park one hour earlier. This gave us a head start to our day. We were at the park from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. We walked back to the RV for lunch and ate dinner in the park at Johnny Rockets.

Cedar Point is the second oldest amusement park in the nation. Having 17 roller coasters, it is known as the roller coaster capital of the world! Two of our most favorite roller coasters were the Millennium Force, which stands 310 feet into the air and travels an incredible 92 miles per hour, and the Maverick, which takes its passengers on 95 degree turns at speeds up to 57 miles per hour. The Maverick was awesome! It was voted the nation’s Best New Ride of 2007 by Amusement Today’s magazine and we could understand why!
