After a suprisingly comfortable ride from rome to Bari, Italy, we boarded a ferry headed for Greece. Before we boarded though, we had our own version of "The Amazing Race" against some Canadians whom we would befriend later. At the train station there were several backpackers to get off, and we took it upon ourselves to get to the port first. After a quick stop for a map, the Canadians were hot on our tail. Two wrong turns almost became our undoing, and even could have landed us in Albania (thats not even a lie). But we persevered and got the first reservations for our ferry. Moralw was high, theirs not so much. Soon thereafter, we met those canadians and found out they share membersip in the CRC church as we do, and know many of our Edmonton friends. They also agreed that it felt like an episode on the popular TV series. It was pretty exciting. After spending the night on the ferry, 16 hours later we ended up in the port in Patras. We went to our hostel (with a distincly African vibe) after that, then hit the beach for a few hours and are now happy to be in an air condiditoned Computer lab.
