We're going to back track a little for this entry. I want to lead off with our pictures of the Columbia River Gorge. This is something that should be as famous and as visited a site and Mount Rushmore, or the Grand Canyon. It's a remarkable place and driving along the massive river on Hwy 84, gives you sight after sight of breathtaking beauty. I'm including several pictures of the area which I don't think need much explanation.

We also stopped in New Salem, North Dakota to see "Salem Sue" a memory from the kids' (Bonnie, Barbi, Ron) childhood.

In Montana, we had a little mishap with the car when we blew a tire. A very friendly state trooper stopped and offered to fix it for us. "Call AAA back, Ma'am, I'll take care of this in just a minute and have you on your way." Well, they couldn't find the Lexus key to unlock the lug nuts, so he had to call another tow truck to come out.  All in all, with the "ride" to the tire store and the replacement, we only lost '
