I cant believe it´s already been two months here, and spring break starts tomorrow for me! I just finished all of my second partical exams, and I´m pretty sure I did well. But speaking of spring break, Ingrid is coming on Monday to spend a week with me! Were going to stay at Nena"s house together and go to the beach and Ill take her to do the touristy things, so expect a lot of good pictures soon!

Not too much is new here, other than the fact that my spanish is getting better, and I know longer say "mande" (which means: what?!?!?!?) after everything. I sat and talked to a guy under a hut on stone island for about 2 hours with very little misunderstanding from either party... but what"s new, whats new??

I guess Ill make a list of things that Ive found-slash-have been enjoying about Mazatlan this month. (PS- I still cant fingure out how to make the "slash" on this keyboard!!)

-Stone Island: Its not technically an island, it used to be, but a road was built to connect it all, and now its a peninsula. Anyway, its got such a different feel than the rest of Mazatlan. The people are So welcoming (ive been invited several times to visit with people in their houses, and its been very nice). Also, a couple of friends and I went "camping" on the island last weekend. We rented little cabin/hut things (found the slash!!) and slept there, only to wake up to fresh coconuts from the locals! Also, I climbed a small mountain/ocean rock when I was there once. Its called goat island and its covered in wild goats! I didnt have my camera with me, but Im going again to take pics. Its absolutely beautiful!

-Taqueria Playa Sur: Its only a small patio with a tent roof and one outside grill, but they make THE BEST tacos, chorreadas, vampiros, and my favroite, Papas Locas (baked potatoes with butter, sour cream, cheese, sauce, and chopped grilled beef, sprinkled with chilies, then you add pico de gallo, salsa and guacamole- DELISH!) I think im going there tonight!

-La Cueva de Leon: Means the Lion"s Cave. I met one of the guys that works there on the beach, and he invited me there to check it out. Its a trendy non-mexican sandwich&salad restaurant that plays raggae music almost all day. I love the people that work there, too. They are all so friendly and are patient with me when I practice my spanish!

-"The Rock": I dont really know how else to describe it, but its a big rock that sticks out of the water in the ocean, that when the tide is low enough, you can walk to it, otherwise its an island. Its COVERED in tide pools with urchins, sea cucumbers, starfish, barnicals, etc. Ive been there twice now, once with Diego (a guy that lives here that knows all sorts of cool places), and the second time, my friend Brendan and I went to watch the sunset, and it was beautiful.

Well, I dont have any pictures to upload yet, but Im working on it, so Ill let yall know when I get them up.
