We left Monterey early hoping to beat the rush hour around San Franciso and Oakland.  We did this so sussessfully that we were in the visitors center at Napa Valley by noon.  Lucky for us because while there, we met David Christman who really educated us about wines.  He had us sample a couple of wines that can only be bought in the valley.  One of which Ellen [who doesn't really drink] fell in love with and she bought a couple of bottles.  We told him that when we came back from NZ we would come and see him because he promised Ellen he would ship a case of the Muscatel to Maryland for her.

Tell Ellen I'll gladly share a glass of Muscatel. I'm not a big sweet wine drinker but do like Muscatel a lot. I'm glad one of you are enjoying yourselves. I but deep down she's really having fun. p
