Arrived mid morning at Joshua Tree, bought a Annual Pass for all the National Parks which was only $50, thought that was incredibly cheap, especially the amount of parks we visiting on this trip, definately a better option than paying single park entry.

The trees are beautiful and make great photos against the brigth blue sky, saw hundreds of lizards running around and a couple of desert rats. think it ws too hot to see alot though, its right in the middle of Palm Desert and is roasting.

views are best from the cactus garden looking out into the mountains range

Its very easy to drive through the park and pick your viewing spots from the entry leaflet, i definately recommend the short walk, about a mile round trip to the Oasis, its so desolate and barren, the water very stagnent with a fair few dragon flies around. Skull rock is pretty cool too.

We stayed til sunset which brings out all the amazing reds from the rocks and Palm Desert on the horizon. The views are best from the cactus garden looking out into the mountains range... spectacular!
