After spending the morning walking around in Cologne I boarded the train to Frankfurt, keen on resting my legs. The hostel was 2 mins across the road, so not very far to carry my backpack (than god, it feels heavier I swear it does). First things first-wander around the city for at least 2 hours and see what I can find, I have a map - not the handy use-it guides, haven't had one of those since Belgium :(  I actually managed to find quite alot of interesting things on my walk, although I'm not quite sure what they all are, there's a square and a church (of course), I get a little lost but I manage to find my way to the River Rhine and figure if I keep follwoing it, I'll find my way, which works-yay! Walking along the river is cool,it has some interesting plants and birds and places to eat, not that I'll be doing much of that.

Realing I've seen all that Frankfurt has to offer in a few hours I head back to the hostel to rest my weary feet. I get back and the other bed is taken, by an American woman, she's 28, married and from Alaska. We decide that we need to go out, for something to eat and drink, and walk to old (I can't spell it, will come back to me later) where within a block (there words not mind) there are loads of bars and restaurants serving really nice, non vegeterian food. We settle on one place, but alas the lady although saying she has too much vegeterian food, seems to thing that vegeterian means chicken and fish (seriously), I settle on some interesting Onion soup and hope that there is no animal stock in it. There probably was come to think of it. Don't think I'll be dining out again till I reach Italy, don't think Prgaue or Budapest is going to be anymore veggie friendly. Had a really good time though, eveident vy walking into the hostel at past 1 in the morning!!

All in all can't say I really took to Frankfurt, it was ok, very lively, but I am looking forward to Munich and Berline more, they're supposed to be awesome
