We had a free day today and had the option to go to Mount Maunganui. It is a very rich area but very pretty and worth going to. We hiked up the mount; it was good exercise but not too hard. The view was gorgous and it overlooked Matakana Island where we had worked. A few of us went in the ocean which was freezing, but definitly worth it. We went to hot pools nearby, which was so realaxing. We got dinner then went home.
