Oludeniz was stiflingly hot and the lagoon looked very enticing with its clear blue seas, but the water was like a tepid bath so wasn’t much reprieve from the heat. We went on a boat cruise round the surrounding area which nice and relaxing. The boat had a slide from the top deck, through the middle and out the side, I would have given it a go but we heard reports there was no water running through it and we didn’t really want plastic burn on our thighs so we jumped off the side instead.

We also went paragliding in Oludeniz.  We drove for an hour or so in an open sided jeep up a dirt road, similar to a ski field road. It’s very quick from arriving at the top of Babadag (Father Mountain) and running off the edge of the hill. They basically unload, strap you in and off you go. Our pilots took us down together so Marc and I could take photos of each other. About half way down the pilots start doing acrobatics, it was so much fun. It was like being a kid on a swing and when you go really high you get that feeling in your tummy, except that you’re over 2000m above the sea lying on your stomach with nothing but a few straps between you and it. There were amazing views, especially as the sun was just setting.
