Again with some pre-dawn awaking (this time on purpose), we packed up our backcountry camp, hiked out of the woods, and hit the road north to the land of drive-through espresso stands.  We arrived in Seattle at about noon and met up with Anna’s friend Sarah: an old pal from summer camp.  We stayed with her other friend Tom, who had just arrived back from Europe and was quite tired, but very hospitable.  Anna had a job interview the next morning (…slowly working on that job thing…), so Maggie hit up her new favorite museum – the Experience Music Project.  Then in the afternoon the girls did the 1-day tourist thing around the city.  Sarah and Tom both joined for a very short Mariners game that night, and unfortunately we had to hit the road in the morning.  It was a brief stay in the Emerald City, but Eastern states await.
