Searching for family history we gained a good understanding of the general area, were able to identify various places recounted in family stories and gained through research, and also newspaper clipping of family events were uncovered.

Airth, Falkirk, Bonnybridge, Grangemouth, Skinflats, Stirling - we visited all these places and got a good understanding of the layout of the area, a bit of history, discussed family and history with helpful locals and identified streets where houses and churches etc. had once been.  Everything old has been swept away for new and while there were now buildings left for us to view, it was good to get an understanding of the area and how people lived in the times before our family emigrated to Australia.

We spent quite a while in this area to make sure we covered everything, but eventually it was time to move on to Inverness.
