Guten Tag! (Good Day!) We arrived here safely and have commenced our European holiday. Our first night here in Erfurt we slept a total of 12 hours…since there was no sleeping on the bumpy plane. Erfurt is a wonderful city and just over 1200 years old! Our Zimmer (bed and breakfast) is very quaint two rooms and a full bath. Horst our host speaks very very little English, but between us all we’ve communicated the basics with lots of hand gestures!

We have visited various Martin Luther sites such as the Wartburg Castle in Eisenach, Wittenberg, and Eisleben. We attended the Octoberfest in Erfurt, a organ concert in the Castle Church in Wittenberg, and dined the local biergarten (beer garden) called Noah’s. Now we are moving on to Dresden…on Germany’s National Reunification Day..holiday. Check out the photos and the Noah’s review!
