Rockhampton Botanical Gardens and Zoo

On the way to Yeppoon we stopped at the Rockhampton Botanical Gardens there was also a small zoo there and the kids got to see their first koalas. They were very active, koalas sleep about 22 hrs per day and these were running around because it was feeding time. They look very cute and cuddly, but in fact can be quite vicious. The caretakers were constantly watching their back to make sure the koalas would not jump on them.

We also saw birds, lizards, emus and crocodiles and ofcourse ants and spiders in the park.
