"...and the tan comes on...."

Off to Octopus resort we went for another perspective on relaxing on the beach. This time it was for 5 nights and the resort was much bigger (80 people). This meant things like activities were planned so you could say it was like a Butlins ....but on Fiji time. For those interested in the resort it was good....but not as good as Nanuya in terms of quality of accomodation and food. The Bure was reeeeeeeally hot even with a fan, so sleeping became a very sweaty affair.
As for what we did....well more of the same; snorkelling was good with a great house reef just off the beach with some fantastic coral life and an array of fishies. Marissa added to the fishing tally by catching a big red cod hand line fishing (which she enjoyed trying to eat the next day....far too big) and many more books were read. We also participated in some 'crab racing' using the hermit crabs and guess what...well we actually came second with feisty number 11 (Nick said that he was called Frank the crab) and won ourselves a f$20 bar tab! We went to church to repent for our sins against wildlife in general over the last 2 months (eating guinea-pigs, jellyfish frisbee, crab racing etc) and also heard a real Fijian choir who were absolutely amazing (photos to be uploaded shortly). In addition to all of that we made a few friends, drank a few cocktails, ate a great 'Lovo' meal (food cooked underground) watched an outdoor movie and participated in a Kava ceremony - so fairly eventful amongst all of that relaxing!
