So, yesterday was a great day to sight see. David and Katia took us all around to Mafra, Ereceira, Sintra and other small towns. WE saw where Figo has a house and where their soap opera is filmed. WE drove along the whole coasts until we got to Sintra. We ended up getting their kind of late and so we headed back down. We ended up in Ereciera at this cute little town where this man made miniature houses with people doing different careers. We went there to get Pao con Chourizo which is break with chorizo inside. It was amazing and they were so hot. MMMMMM. Then we went and had these Portuguese doughnuts that are covered in sugar and cinnamon. They were to die for. It was already quite a packed day, but we still had dinner to go to.

Katia's parents wanted to take us out to a nice dinner and so we went to The Kings Palace. We ordered Octopus, sausages, and salad for our appetizers. The octopus was my favorite. It was the best I've ever had. It was amazing. I think I ate most of it. Then it was time for dinner. I wasn't sure what it was, but one had rice and shrimp and the other was potatoes and then lobster, shrimp, fish and other great stuff. They came in these hug hot pots. I can't even use the right words to describe how amazing it was. OH, and I had two glasses of wine and for those of you who know me.. I don't like wine. But I did enjoy those two glasses.. we went threw 3 bottles at dinner. And for dessert Rui had this great chocolate mousse and I had a Portugues Flan.. and it was quite good.

THe next day David dropped us off at Torres Vedras at the train station so that we could get to Sintra. We managed to go all the way to Lisbon instead cause the stop wasn't what we thought it was. So, we ended up catching the metro into Sintra. Sintra is one of the most mesmerizing places I've ever seen. We caught a bus up there and went to this palace and then the Moros Castles and we got to climb on the walls that are covered in greenery. We then headed up to the Palace of Pena. It was made at two different times and so it is pink and yellow. IT looks like a princess castle. THe pictures will do it justice. It was amazing and we enjoyed the castles for over 4 hours. Then we headed back to the train and David and Katia were there to pick us up and we went to have dinner at Mr. and Mrs. Santos.. my grandmother best friend from Fort Fraser. It was amazing to see her. She was so happy and they said I look a lot like my grandmother. We had duck rice with a cod cream dish and it was so good I can't stop thinking about it. We even got some to take home and it has been so good to eat for lunch. We had so much food.. as most portugues dinners do.

WE thought we were almost done.. but we decided to go to another bar and have a drink after that. Then we all decided to call it a night.
