We then traveled to Osaka because we had flights from Kansai the next day.  We spent the afternoon at a big aquarium--they had a whale shark that was very impressive, and a lot of other fish whic we:ve probably been eating all along.  I had to leave early the next morning to get to the airport so I could go to Saigon, and the process required me to take two trains to the airport.  It sould have been easy but I got on the wrong train at one point. No big deal, a couple conductors saw me looking confused and got me a new ticket--they:re really nice, and really helpful here--and I should have gotten to the airport a half hour later than planned.  Except a truck crashed into the railway lines somewhere ahead of us, making them irreparable.  So I had to go find a bank a mile away and get a cab to the airport (it cost a $100 to get there, but I had no choice seeing as we had to vacate the train in God knows where), by which time I had missed the only flight to Saigon.  So I:m kicking it in the airport at a lounge...for 20 hours.  Oh well.  It has internet and a shower and I:ve already watched The Breakfast Club and five episodes of the Office.  The Sopranos is next if I can find an English version online.  Time flies when you have internet and TV.  I:m ready to move on to Vietnam though, to get going and have some new food and a new environment.  If all goes well my buddy Barry is going to be there the day after tomorrow which will also be a lot of fun. I:ve gotten abbreviated because I:m tired of writing, but I promise more updtaes, more often, with better stories soon.  From the airport--missing you all--James.

Another night, another airport, another train mishap
