We arrived in Ayutthaya by train, about 30p for an hour and a half-so cheap!!!  Took about that long again to find the guest house again though...not so great.  Well worth the walk though, the guest house was beautiful, and owned by a lovely old lady who was so nice!  On the first night we went to a floating restaurant, and had some really nice noodles and rice.  On the next day we walked into the town, and on the night we went on a tour organised by the lady.  We went an saw some of the ancient ruins and then (the highlight for me) we went and saw elephants.  There was some baby ones which we fed bananas-they went crazy for them, started headbutting eachother for them!  There were also larger ones that were being exercised, and since we were there the trainers but on a little impromto show for us.  The next day we went on another tour by boat this time.  Since ayyuthaya has 3 rivers that meet in it, some stuff has to be done by boat or it cant be reached.  We went and saw some temples and the ruins.  Was really relaxing being on the boat because it was small and there was only 5 of us on it (including the boatlady) and the breeze was lovely!  After that we went on the train to pitsanoluk, so that we could go to sukothai, another old capital.

so many temples to see and animals to pet!
