When you say the word Gouda everyone thinks cheese. If you go to the town of Gouda there is more that just cheese. There is a cheese market in square in the summer but that is very touristy.
Firstly we went to the church, St Jans Kerk. It was magnificent. A very long church with a stumpy tower, it is famous for the old stain glass windows.
The town hall is in the middle of the square and it is very striking. There are lots of wonky old buildings and it is just nice to wander around and enjoy the surroundings.
