A 50 minute train ride from Naples the dump capital of the world is Sorrento.  They are night and day.  Sorrento is a beautiful coast town with cute pedestrian streets and beautiful views.

As soon as we arrived in Sorrento we decided to go to the towns on the amafi coast.  Luckily I talked everyone into renting scooters.  If not you are packed on a big bus like sardines rideing a cliff ridden coast line.  Trust me it is much better on a scooter.

It is a beautiful drive along a coast with awesome views and cute towns.  We stopped for lunch in Positano and then in Amafi for a swim.  Watched italy win the Quarter-final againist Australia(World Cup) in Positano before riding back to Sorrento.  Now this was a highlight of our trip. Words can not explain how great it was to be riding back on the Amafi coast to Sorrento with the sun setting.  We came up over a hill and the sun was reflecting off the water and the town of Sorrento it was absolutly breathtaking.  We felt like the only people on the road.  I get goose bumps just thining about it.  As we head into Sorrento everyone is waving their Italian flags and honking horns because of the big win.  A really great time.

The next day we went to a beach in Sorrento. Our plan B after plan A: go to Capri was pot to a hault in true Italian fashion by a strike on the island.  No boats could go to the Island because of a strike(Freakin Italians).

The beach was nice, but half way through the day I was beached out so Michael and I went on a tour of Sorrento.  Which was a really nice tour throught the hills of sorrento where they grow a lotof lemons and olives for oil.

Before the tour we had our best meal of our whole italy trip.  At the bus stop from the beach there is a little store-deli.  The store owner whips out fresh ciabatta bread, slices up fresh ham and cheese and adds seasoned tomato, all for 2 euro...Molto Bien!

That evening is when we went to drink those big beers.  Michael and Erik saw those beers the day before and had to go back the next night to drink them.  2 liters each.  Liz and I split one.

Sorrento and Amafi will be seeing us again.
