Bariloche has a ski town feel to it.  Its on  a lake and surrounded by the andes.  Its an amazing little town and tons of fun.  there is a ton of chocolate everywhere because there are supposedly a lot of Germans that settled here after world war II.  i guess a lot of nazi's fled here after the war was over.  there are a ton of hikes around the city.  after taking some time to settle in and get aquanted with the town i took a gondola to the top of one of the mountains.  the view from the top was amazing and i had lunch there.  after that i decided to walk down the hill and back to the town.  i met a bunch of really cool people from Buenos Aires and one from Colombia.  we hung out in the hostel till about 2 30 and then they went out to a club and i finally went to bed.  after 2 1/2 hours of sleep i got up and took a bus for about an hour to the beginning of the hike.  the hike was ten miles to a lake, Laguna Negra, at the top of a mountain.  i hiked for a while through a long valley and then up a steep mountain.  at the top i hung out and had lunch and then took a nap overlooking the whole valley.  the following day i went with my friend from Colombia to a small town near Bariloche and rented bikes.  we rode around the town and checked out some lakes, it was a lot of fun.  that night one of the girls in the hostel made us dinner around 11 or 12.  we then hung around and talked for a while and then decided to go out to a club around 3 or 4 and got back around 7 or 8 and then had Matte till 8 or 9.  before going to sleep i got on a plane to El Calafate.

two and a half hours of sleep and then a 20 mile hike
