We got to Hong Kong at lunchtime on Saturday and caught the tube to our hostel in Causeway Bay. Walking from the tube station was like walking in Oxford Street at 5pm on Christmas Eve. There were so many people Pod and I practically lost each other and we arrived at our hostel exhausted.
Early evening we went to a chinese restaurant. I was looking forward to sweet and sour chicken and special fried rice. We were handed our menus, it was all in Chinese and we didn't recognise anything. In the end the restaurant owner came over and helped us out. We had hotpot, wontons and rice which was unexpected but okay.
A perfect end to our travels in Asia

The next day we walked around the botanical gardens and stared at the monkeys for ages, we took the ferry across to Kowloon and walked around a Swedish boat expedition and then we took the tram to the top of the hill. We spent an hour doing the circular walk looking at Hong Kong from every view point before dusk came and we stayed to see the view at night which, was really impressive.
After all of our exercise we took a taxi to Soho where we had a short go on the long escalator before stopping at a great Italian for pasta with lobster sauce and gorgeous pizza. I only make reference to this because when you have craved a good Italian for weeks it becomes a highlight of the holiday when it is placed in front of you.

On the Monday we were flying to Auckland at 9pm which mean't we had the whole day free. With a little persuasion I got Pod to agree that we could spend it at Disney World Hong Kong. It was brilliant. I loved it so much that we ran around like kids jumping on rides, spotting characters, going to a 3D show and the Mickey Oscars. There was also the afternoon Disney Parade, for all those reading this with kids I have about 30 photos of everyone you could possibly think of. Without sounding to childish I will write no more about it, but it was a great day and a perfect end to our travels in Asia.
