Noosa! What can I say about one of the most beautiful shores in Australia? Rachel and I spent four blissful days basking in the sun and taking it all in. After the city adventures of Sydney, Noosa Heads was a great way to settle down a bit. It is definitely more expensive than most places in the Sunshine Coast but it is worth it. It down poured on the second day out of nowhere. Oh by the way, rachel and i have developed this trend...apparently it rains on the second day of our stay in each city we've been to in Oz.  Wierd huh? Anyways, we were just laying on the beach and it began to sprinkle. I told rach not to worry that it'd probably pass...you know Hawaii style. Wrong! Drenched from head to toe! Good laugh though. Fear not the sun came out again, with a vengeance actually. I am already peeling. First coat right? Our backpacker resort was great. We're becoming pros at meeting new friends everywhere we go. We interacted in the activities at the bar to win free beer jugs.  Well one of the games was to get somebody else's left shoe in the dj's hand first. Haha imagine me and another guy running full force towards the dj. SMACK! Being the competive ambitious soul that i am...I won! Rach tried to win a game that involved blowing a lolly across the floor with a straw but to no avail. Oh well. We've only met one other American thus far. Brits and Ireland folk are found in abundance though. We're even picking up some of the English expressions. For example, 'quite nice' is our description for everything. Odd how that happens. Rachel lost a battle to her sunscreen stick, long story short her legs looked like a red and white striped zebra. Haha. I laughed and i took pictures. Blend Rachel blend. She also lost me on the beach, good thing I was watching her. So don't worry everyone i'm looking out for her. Who's looking out for me? Good question. Haha jk. A highlight of Noosa was that I dragged Rachel on a two hour hike to Noosaville to the local Country Music Festival. She took her Ipod, but she actually listened to the country music.  I'm sure more than 75% of you are wincing. Country girl at heart.

Beautiful clear water and wonderful beaches!

So all in all Noosa is great. I wish we had made plans to go to Frasier Island. I wanted to give sand boarding a try, but time would not permit. If you are looking for a place to just relax, Noosa is the place. We only stayed four days and three nights. Just enough time to prepare ourselves for Brisbane. I will post pictures of Noosa soon. So come back and check them out.  There's a great one of me pouring water into the mouth of a giant pelican...if that doesn't entice you than i don't know what will. Stay tuned....

Just added some pics. I also forgot to add that Rach and I decided that we were going to buy a summer home along the Noosa River for our future entertainment. Nothing like holiday in the Sunshine Coast to escape the inevitable hard working years that lay ahead aye?
