After much deliberation we concluded it was very unlikely that we would reach our longterm goal of getting to the International Rainbow Gathering near Skipton and that we should proceed to Castleton to enjoy some sun. Nate and Tony took it upon themselves to visit the castle after hours as I guarded the gear and soaked up the days last rays of sun.
We found a camping spot in the crux of a valley in a visitors parking area and made ourselves at home. The following day we used the sun to it's full power and Nate and I took a trip to the river to detoxify our clothing. We spent the remainder of the day playing cards and reading in the sunlight.

Another good nights sleep under our belt put us on the road with regained enthusiam and we made our way to Sheffield. A pretty big city, filled with all the consumer delights a capitalist could hope for. We found ourselves a good supply of food and began biking as it rained. We didn't make it far before we were tired of being wet, we found a park in Ecclesfield around 7 and set up tent. Tony and I took it upon ourselves to make friends with the local kids, partially to meet some people and partially to ensure our nights saftey by knocking our only threat out of worry. Kids are interesting, we boasted our performing skills and the group faded with the sun. We slept as it rained and woke to the sun and Tony's usual morning absence. Nate and I moved the gear and ourselves into the sun to dry out. We spent the day reading and drying and were visted by the park kids again. We escaped in the early afternoon and made our way into Wakefield. Oh Wakefield.
