Waiting in Singapore

I arrived in Singapore at 3:15am after a 7 hour flight only to find that the next flight was full and I would have to wait until the next to get to London. What to do in Singapore at 3am in the morning? The answer is nothing, I become an airport bum until a reasonable hour until I could find a hotel to check into as the next flight wasn't until 10:30pm that night.

As 8:30am rolled around I finally found a hotel that I could check into straight away, alas, it was nowhere near the airport! So I caught a shuttle bus to the hotel and was so exhausted that I slept until late afternoon and only ventured out for food until I had to get back to the airport for my flight. I waited in the standby line only to find out that I was not going to be on this flight either - so back to the hotel by about midnight I arranged a wake up call and a cab at 5:30am the next morning to try my luck on the next flight. 15 mins before the flight departed to London I was told that I was in fact on it, so I have just enough time to leg it to the nearest phone and let Simon know what time that I was arriving and then hurry to my gate to board!
