I know that i keep talking about leaving La Ciotat and heading up to Paris, but every time i try, I get coerced into sticking around for one more night.  Or maybe the prospect of cruising around on an old Peugeot, hanging out on the beach, swimming in the Mediterranean and hanging out with Bruno is just too good an opportunity to pass up.

Regardless, I am glad i stuck around for the 13th (the warm up to Bastille day) because i finally got to meet Thomas, Bruno's son, Aurélie, Bruno's daughter, and her boyfriend Maxime.  Aurélie, Maxime and his cousin William (whose new hair color inspired the other two to ask me "the word for the small chicken" so they could call him "chick" all day) took me to an amazing swimming locale just to the north of town in a state park with excellent snorkeling and cliff jumping.

Maxime leapt up, shouted "Fie-work!" and plunged into the ocean

Later we all, including some additional friends all ate dinner at Bruno's, watched a fireworks display from the beach (during which Maxime leapt up, shouted "Fie-work!" and plunged into the ocean) then walked around in the crowd at the center of town.

Tomorrow... Paris?
