Still in Chesapeake, Prepping for Germany

This week is hectic, as I am beginning to prep for Germany.  I am contacting my future principal as well as my cooperating teachers, and I'm finding that it should be an experience for me.  I'll be student teaching in an American, Dept. of Defense Dependants (DoDD) school that is situated 15 minutes from Frankfurt.

I'm nervous, excited, and sad.  Sad because I don't want to leave my 2 year old son.  I know military parents do it all the time and don't even know if they'll return, but for some reason, this seems different.  :(

Hardest Thing I'll Ever Have to Do...

I'll miss him so much.  I'll try to keep busy, but it'll still be hard. That's part of the reason I'm setting this blog up in the first place.  So he and my parents (and my friends, too) can "visit" me whenever they want.  They can see where I've been and what I'm up to.  They can contact me and I can contact them.

I know this will be the hardest thing I'll have to do, but I know it'll help me become a better teacher, as well.  All I keep telling myself is that it's not permenant.  It's only four months.
