This is starting to get so unbelievably depressing.

We woke up to some god awful triple point low or some bull@*%# that means i probably have travelled a long way to look at some cold and wet scenery. Tom our guide broke it to us gently by saying "there is no way we are going to fly today and i can probably say it will be a little less wet than yesterday".  Now that is an optimistic forecast!

We are going out on a hike this afternoon to McKinley Lakes which is real nice and there may be a chance to spot some moose which would unfortunately and very sad to say that could possibly be the absolute highlight of my trip.

Some people have already bailed out early rather than wait another couple of days doing nothing much at all except staring at each other.

Charlotte has given me her photos and i have attached a couple.

Hoping to cheer up soon....heres to blue sky dreaming

Well you wouldn't believe it but the hike was soooo f&*#ing ORDINARY.

With all the rain we had over the past week picture 5 miles of hiking on ice with the occassional fall off the track into a crevasse that would put you up to your crotch in soft snow.  I am telling you to picture ice dancing without the grace and a lot of falls.

We not only had sun while we were walking but we also had a lot of rain - surprise surprise.  And this cheerful (NOT) activity lasted 5 and a FRICKIN HALF HOURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was so not in a good place when i got home.

We had a really great dinner and lit a HUGE bonfire where we sacrificed some ski's to the snowgods.  Burning the bonfire also included throwing a 5 gallon drum of Jet A fuel on the fire repeatedly.  It looks great on film and the photos turned out pretty sweet too.  Well we did see stars and a small moon so we are thinking that maybe the snowgods will be kind.  Can only wait and see what tomorrow will bring.
