Sunbathing & Merry Larks

What a glorious day! I am still glowing from the radiance of the midday sun, after a long day of sunbathing, drinking fresh strawberry juice from a sun lounger by the sea, and having fun conversation with the guys. Janina and Elina went to Sharm El Sheik today, but I was lazy and stayed in Dahab, sunbathing with the boys. We all sat on loungers, drinking, tanning, and talking for hours. Jason and Jordan were due to get their hair put in dreads, but chickened out at the last minute.

We spent many a merry hour larking around. Jordan and Jason trying to conjure up the ideal guy for me. Pah! Not even close. Jordan is still thinking Lachlan, the aussie cyclist/adventurer (back in J/Slem when we first met him, Jordan used to give me 'knowing' looks. pah!), but then he not-so-secretly heroworships him. I think between the two of them, they exhausted all the categories before giving up.

After Janina and Elina returned from Sharm El Sheik, we all got ready for dinner at Shark - Murphy's favourite restaurant here - as it was his birthday. Shark is excellent value for money, you are given huge portions and they are delicious. I had the sweet and sour chicken with rice, which was gorgeous! There were 12 of us sat on cushions around the tables. Although we were upstairs inside the restaurant, where we were sat had no roof, so we could all look up at the stars. Dahab is truly beautiful. Surrounded by mountains and by the clear blue Red Sea. I would recommend it to anyone. After dinner we journeyed on to Tota's for a couple of drinks. There were Egyptian film crews, and what appeared to be a talk show, I'm guessing it was to do with the bombings. Elina and I were asked to stand outside and shop with the owner and be filmed. We weren't given any real direction, we were just beckoned over to the postcard stands, er.. so we, in an Oscarworthy performance, browsed the postcards, while the owner of the shop, smiled at the camera and pointed at us. Hmmm...

Bizarre.

I am back at the hostel early, as I just couldn't be arsed to continue spending money for the sake of it. I'm pretty tired. Tomorrow I think we're hiring dune buggies.

Class.
