We took this picture from the hill by the palace of the main harbor of Monaco. I hadn't realized that Monaco is squeezed by the ocean next to such steep mountains!

First I saw more luxury cars, from Ferraries to Lamborghinis and Bentleys, in one day than I had seen my whole life, secondly I will take Vegas over Monte Carlo any day! From what I saw and understood MC actually has the one casino that it is famous for. There isn't like a row of them or even several it is pretty much the one casino which we didn't get in to as they wanted a 10 Euro per person! Like they need it - though my guess is they are trying to keep curios and poor tourists only interested in looking. They however need to learn the concept of 'gambling fever' that comes over the most sane person once they hear the chi-ching of slot machines and the joyous whoop of the craps winners. Though judging by the atmosphere in the adjacent, free but much smaller Sun Casino they wouldn't approve of whoops or kissing the lucky die.

A view from a hill on the other side of the bay across from which is a row of buildings on top of the hill. That is the old section of the city and also where the Palace is located.

Korak - In addition to the top-end cars we saw an amazing display of mega-yachts.  I'm not very well-versed in the price tags of yachts but based on what we saw in the windows of yacht dealers, 5 million dollars gets you a smallish one.  Some of them we saw were much larger than the 5 mils.  I even saw two of the ultrahigh tech sailing yachts that have mechanized sails so the crew requirement is reduced.  (In some cases down to one person.)  These boats are one of the few benefits I can see of being ridiculously wealthy.  (That and private jets.)  As I am typing this I am kicking myself for not taking pictures of the ships.  We'll see more I am sure on the coast of Italy and the Greek islands.  (I have seen ads in magazines offering to rent a "Greek Pleasure Palace" more than a few times.)
