Practical Information:  We left Cambridge for Bath at 12:00ish.  Train into London, King's Cross, Tube from King's Cross to Paddington, and then to Bath; total travel time 4 hours. Longest wait for a train was perhaps 20 minutes.

Roman Baths - The Roman Baths are intriguing.  How could they have been missed for all those years?  As you walk down to the baths through the museum you're educated about the site every step of the way.  Salvaged pieces of mosaic floor, statues, part of a temple, all are displayed well and described in an interesting manner.  The audioguide is excellent.

The architecture is visually interesting and well-preserved

Bath Abbey - Bath Abbey is lovely.  The light through the stained glass window really lite up the inside.  The fan vaulting is lovely.  While smaller than a cathedral it is large enough to be impressive.

#1 Royal Crescent - The 3-story townhouse is furnished and decorated as it would have been in the late 1800s.  It's a lovely intimate museum.

Costume Museum - The Costume Museum is fun and interesting.  There fashions start in the early 1700s and go up through today.  All of the fashions are well displayed along with various accoutrements.  There's a room where you can try on corsets as well as special exhibits.

We enjoyed Bath very much.  We took a small boat cruise up the river, walked through town (2 or 3 times), across the Pultney Bridge and trhough a park along the river.  The architecture is visually interesting and well-preserved.
