So much family, so much personal history, so much good food, so many things at affordable prices... all neatly tucked up in a city clouds, about a mile above sea level.

I've spent almost 1/3 of my life in Baguio;  my wife grew up and spent most of hers in this great city.  We both went to college here (Saint Louis University), my daughter was born here in 1997.  We left the city in 2000 but continue to visit almost annually, and this beautiful city remains our getaway destination of choice.  And, if all goes as planned, it'll be our place of retirement.

The weather in Baguio, compared to all the low-elevation areas of the Philippines, is cool, clean, and beautiful.  Although you can still feel the Philippine humidity at times during the summer and rainy season, it is still probably the most pleasant climate most people will ever encounter in the country.

The high altitude of the city will leave you literally breathless at times if you're not accustomed to the altitude, and you may find yourself much quicker to tire in Baguio... but give yourself a few days and you'll likely be adjusted to the only negative aspect of the city's altitude.

Traffic can be bad at times in the city's center, regardless of whether you're using public or private transport, but for the most part delays are relatively minimal.  If you get a feel for the rush hours times in Baguio, as well as the traffic chokepoints, that helps minimize delays as well.

There is definitely no shortage of tourist attractions and activities here, and in the nearby provinces/municipalities.  And despite the location and altitude of the city... you're little more than an hours drive/ride to some nice beaches and resorts.  You can also easily get bit by the shopping bug here... without having to trek all the way down to Manila.

No matter what your taste may be, you'll likely find food to your liking in Baguio.  There is a great variety of restaurants and various eating establishments, a noticably bigger variety than you'll find in most other Philippine cities other than Manila.

In general, it's extremely easy to have an enjoyable vacation in Baguio.  Just ask us...
