Our trip began with a five hour wait to board our Iceland Air flight.
Once on board, Mom and I were charmed by the conversion of each announcement into Icelandic and the extensive tourism guides. Did you know that Iceland is the ideal location for mountain hikes, fjords, and glaciers? Yeah, me either.
The airport itself had a clean feel with wooden floors and a passport check in the middle, and our short stay in a country approximately the size of Rhode Island lasted less than two hours. Onward!
