Despite our good intentions we didnt get up until 9.30! We started teh day by walking down into the Niagara Falls area and began walking along side the falls, first past the US falls and then past Horseshoe Falls. We kept on going following the side of the Niagara river taking loads of pictures. Needless to say the further we got from the centre the less Yanks there were around (walking???? Why when you've got a 5.0L truck!) We ended up walking as far as the old hydro station buildings and then decided to head in land and have a look at a fun park called Marine Land. But having got there we decided not to go in as it seemed expensive for what was actually there and the best way to see sea life is in the wild. Anyway, after getting lost in a golf course and gatecrashing some wedding photos we eventually found the correct way back to Niagara and walked up Falls View Blvd towards the Hilton hotel and the Casino getting great views of the falls on the way. When we got back with our sweaty feet we got a map and worked out that in total we must of walked about 5 miles!! We refeuled with a slush puppy each before Meg destroyed Andy 7-1 at Air Hockey. We then sat in Niagara park by the fountain for a while, with Andy cooling his feet off in the water and he tossed a 1 cent coin into the fountain and made a wish for Neil and Gemma's baby. Again the weather today was great, hot (29c) with clear blue sky (not ideal monster walking weather though). After the usual dinner we went to Oak Park on Clifton Hill and sat on the grass and watched an open air movie of ET on a big screen. It was so surreal watching the movie seeing and hearing the the falls in the background. Something to definately remember.
