We got up at 5:30 to drive to the Halifax airport to pick up Sylvia, a friend from Vernon who lives in Shelburne. It was 1 1/2 hr trip to the airport and then back down to Shelburne with a stop at Lunenburg to see the Bluenose II come in and we arrived in Shelburne around 5 pm. Shelburne is a lovely town started by the Loyalists in the 1800's. The houses, harbors, etc are just lovely and Sylvia was a wonderful tour guide. On Friday to Sundays was to be a big celebration called Founders Day but the storm came in and the rain came down so a lot of preparations went down the drain.
What a wonderul town with lots of history
