The First Day in HK, a long one
From South East Asia 2006 in Hong Kong, China on Sep 01 '06
Well, made it...after a very long flight (13+ hours)...I made it to HK international with my buddy Robert. Luckily, I slept for most of the flight. What a full day it was...since we arrived at 5:30am, we left the airport and went to Po Lin buddhist monastery, with the 100 foot(or something big like that) Buddha. Pretty cool, but the windy bus ride took the wind out of us.
Next, we went to downtown HK, the Chinatown here is huge! (just kidding). Had a large dim sum lunch, roamed the Kowloon district hoping to get a cheap camera (decided not get a cheap ripoff). Finished off the night some awesome Cantonese in SoHo.
The Buddha and the Dim Sum rocked!
The Buddha and the Dim Sum rocked! But we are dead tired, I haven't slept for over a day, really, and it is time to hit the sack! Talk to you soon, Pat
