Early wake up call, and Mike and I set off from Victoria. Theresa was kind (or crazy!) enough to drive us to the Coho ferry at 5.30am, but not without her pot of coffee in hand!
Maybe I was still asleep or dreaming, but it was here that I has my first encounter with a US Customs Officer who was not an ass. In fact he was actually lovely, and even funny! Wow. After he took the mick out of me a few times (making me stand up on my tiptoes to try to look into the camera, before laughing and moving what had appeared to be a fixed-position camera down to my eye-level, stuff like that) we were through customs and on the boat. And back to sleep.
Nice US Customs Officers? Really?
