Day One - We leave Melbourne

I boarded the bus in front of the Victorian Arts Centre in the early afternoon with 10 other travellers in the back of, what seemed to be, a converted truck. Our driver for the next 4 days was Philip.

After leaving Melbourne we headed down to the start of the Great Ocean Road. The road snakes along the southern coast like a dragon, with sharp bends, flying up then hurtling down down to the coast. The scenery absolutely breath-taking, as we were heading into the setting sun.

A slight problem with the air conditioner hose

Suddenly, there was a loud noise from between the cab and our cabin - an air conditioner hose had popped off and was making a hell of a racket. Philip stopped by the side of the road to fit it back on, with some smart remarks from us in the back.
