i went on a one-hour cruise on loch ness to see nessie but she remained elusive. a friend told me after my trip that it requires technique to spot nessie...first you look hard for her, when you can't find her, give up and turn your back against the water. and almost immediately, turn around in split second and she would be taken by surprise and have no time to duck. sodez neh!

i was also in time for the edinburgh military tattoo. when i left, the sound of the bagpipes was still ringing in my ears. it was magical.

it's nice to see men in skirts (kilts!) here. i still have not figured out if it's free willie under the kilts. i stared and waited for the wind to lift the kilts but no luck. so i gave up.
