After jumping on the train literally as it pulled out of Kings Cross station, we were on our way to Beverly in East Yorkshire to visit Pete's relatives.  Pete's uncle is the vicar of St. Mary's Church which you can see in the photos.  Happily, we were able to catch up with Pete's uncle, aunt, cousin and grandma, who Amber had not yet met.

91 yr old grandma has come up with some classic quotes, including:

Grandma: "We have just started pole dancing down at our women's club each Wednesday."

Jan (aunt): "Do you mean Maypole dancing, because I don't think you'd be doing the other kind"

Grandma: "Oh yes, I think that's the one."

Beverley is a small, quaint old English town.  The food was great, the company fantastic and our stay was beautiful, restful and, of course, freezing.
