Australia has lots of big 'things', and we've seen quite a few of them since we got our own wheels, but we didn't take photos as they're not that exciting individually, however the list below gives them some collective power.

1. On the way down from Byron we passed the Big Prawn in Ballina - a big prawn on the top of a fishmongers at the side of the road, but in need of a lick of paint.

Did our hire car have magnifying glass windows?

2. Next was the not-so-Big Banana, in Coffs Harbour, the heart of the Australian banana-growing region.

3. Then onto Tamworth, the country music capital of Australia, for the Big Golden Guitar. It was actually beige, but quite big.

4. Outside Mudgee was Big Gold-Panning Man, you guessed it, this was where the Ozzie gold rush happened.

5. Saving the best til last, the Big Miners' Lamp. H's favourite - marking an old coalmining town. It was so big that people could wander around inside it, and it reminded us of home as we have one of these lamps sitting on our hearth. (We can't get inside ours - we tried.)
