Hi Guys

Firstly Happy New Year to you all!! Thank you all for your Xmas and New Years messages either on here or on facebook.

Sorry we haven't been on here for a while but as you all know we started our new tour on New Years eve and its been non stop since then. We have already done 8 days of our tour so far. This group is similar to our India tour as we have 15 people in total with varying ages (20-retired).

We didn't have a crazy New Years eve as we were up at 4.30 on News Years day to see the sunrise over Angkor Wat (but it was so cloudy it just got progressively lighter!!) We then spent the rest of the day looking at Angkor Wat and other temples, finishing at the temple where tomb raider was filmed which was amazingly beautiful. After Siem Reap we went to Kampong Cham which was a very quiet town, here we had dinner from a little market stall in a deserted car park, the food in those markets are gorgeous. Here we also met a little farmer boy who kept us entertained even though he couldn't speak a word of English, a big smile goes along way out here. After Kampong Cham our next stop was our homestay which was really an amazing experience. The people again were so lovely even though they didn't speak much English, we spent the evening around a campfire drinking and chatting. When we went back to our room we had a little surprise, a Scorpion was in one of the beds! It was only small and once one of the locals took the sting off it we both held it. After the homestay we made our way to where we are now which is right on the beach. The beach is gorgeous, after thailand we didn't think we would see anything as good but this is on par. We are heading to Phenom Peng(?!) where we will go and visit the S-21 (Khmer Rouge era) musuem and the killing fields which will be very interesting to see. Our tour guide's parents died during the Khmer Rouge era so we have already seen firsthand the impact it had on their nation. After this we hit Vietnam and our tour guide and part of the group changes. So as you can tell we still have alot ahead of us but we are loving every minute of it.

Hope you're all ok back at home, we have heard on the news its very cold there. The temperature here doesn't hit below 30c during the day so it will be a shock when we come back home.

Lots of Love Stacy & Jonny xxxx
