The Lion King
From Three Weeks in Oxford, England in London, United Kingdom on Aug 02 '08
On Sunday, I got up bright and early to go into London for a matinee performance at the Lyceum Theatre of the Lion King. The trip to London was very easy. Like always I rode in on the Oxford Tube and got off at Marble Arch; however, this trip took an extra half an hour. I'm glad I gave myself plenty of time to get to the theatre. My sister and I then took a short underground ride to Covent Garden Station and made our way over to the theatre.
Our seats were in the nose bleed section. But we still had a great view of the stage, and we rented binoculars for 50p which allowed us to see the costumes in more detail.
Our seats were in the nose bleed section.
The show was impressive. All the actors and actresses did an amazing job. and the costumes and music were extraordinary. Of course, I was already familiar with the storyline, but they really brought it to life. I would recommend this production to anyone who has the opportunity.
